EIS
Scoping Meeting Set this Tuesday, Feb. 8th
----
Go
Green Alliance Looks to the Community to Support this
Next Critical Step for a Modern Airport
In
an effort to raise awareness of the upcoming EIS Scoping
meeting, the Go Green Alliance has been reaching out
to the business community and Rhode Island's citizens
at large to stress the importance of attending this
meeting. Go Green members are optimistic supporters
will attend and demonstrate their commitment to moving
the EIS process forward.
An
EIS is a study conducted by the Federal Aviation Administration
(FAA) to ascertain the impact of the project, as defined
in the Airport Master Plan, on the environment including:
noise, land use, air and water quality, wetlands,
social impacts and induced socioeconomic impacts.
We
understand it is cold outside and not always easy
to attend meetings after work hours, but we urge you
to attend this vitally important public meeting on
Tuesday,
February 8th from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the University
Room of the Radisson Hotel in Warwick. Your
attendance will prove our community backs up their
words with actions and that you care about the economic
future of Rhode Island. For more information contact
Jean Croteau at 401-621-6124.
